Yesterday Michael Cook who runs the Tottenham Community Garden was gracious enough to give my daughter and I a tour of the garden. The Tottenham Community Garden donates fresh produce to the Shelter weekly during the growing season. Over the years Michael, with the help of community donations of supplies, volunteers and countless hours of his own time has created an amazing space where he grows a very diverse numbers of vegetables, fruit, herbs and he even now has honey bees. During our tour he explained to us how the garden has grown, his plans for the future and how giving to the communites of Tottenham, Beeton and Alliston are so important to him.
While we were there we helped to pick, wash and pack the weekly produce delivery for My Sister's Place.
We are so grateful for donors like Michael and the Tottenham Community Garden for everything they do for us and the community.
