On Saturday January 20th Bobbi Jo Stuart and Love Bee Photography hosted an amazing event celebrating women over 40 at the Well Spring in Tottenham with the proceeds raised being donated to My Sister's Place. 

Bobbi Jo has been working on this photography project over the last two years, it started after she photographed a couple women and seeing the power that a photo session had on their confidence and self love.
Each woman chose how she wanted to be photographed. Some were more conservative, others more intimate, but many did a mix of styles and outfits.
It was beautiful to see the transformation these women had in just a matter of hours! From nerves walking into the studio, to beaming on the way out.

After all her hard work and time Bobbi Jo brought together these stories for A Night For Women Gala, a beautiful and empowering collection of photographs.  

We were invited to attend and sell our Wrapped in Courage items, talk to the guests and speak about who we are and what we do at My Sister's Place. 

There were over 100 people in attendance, the space was beautifully decorated with a live band, professional photo booth, silent auction and a high end thrifting room. Everyone had a great timing mingling and admiring the photo exhibit. 

The event raised $2000, thank you to Bobbi Jo for choosing My Sister's Place to benefit from the event, thank you to all who attended and bought Wrapped in Courage items, bid on auction prizes and bought items from the thrift room and thank to everyone who donated items to both. We are so grateful to our community supporters.
